Fire on the Fountain 2021
On October 14, San José State University hosted its 14th annual Fire on the Fountain, one of the largest and most anticipated events on campus. Held early in the fall semester, the event brings together students, campus organizations, and the broader university community to celebrate school spirit and connection.
The evening features live performances, fire dancers, appearances from the football team, and the announcement of Homecoming Royalty, creating a high-energy environment that draws over 1,000 students each year. As one of the first major events of the semester, Fire on the Fountain plays an important role in helping students engage with campus life and build community.

Fire on the Fountain is an opportunity to bring together student organizations and the broader student body in a way that feels accessible, engaging, and community-driven. Held early in the semester alongside Homecoming, the event creates space for students to explore different organizations, meet new people, and build a sense of belonging, while setting the tone for an exciting year ahead.

I led coordination for student organization involvement, managing outreach and logistics for over 40 student organizations participating in the event. I also supported overall event execution, including coordinating supplies and marketing materials, assisting with event setup, and managing check-in to ensure a smooth experience for both student organizations and attendees.
